Our very first edition of Wild Gorse Magazine was launched this Summer and we were thrilled to learn that our print copies have been flying out from all the amazing stockists who have them. It has connected locals we’ve been told and engaged and enticed tourists to the magical West Wales.
For those of you who might not know, Wild Gorse Magazine is both in print and online. The print version is a beautiful and immersive experience, finished in textured recycled paper using eco-friendly vegetable inks. Its unique look is extremely aesthetically pleasing and the perfect accompaniment to enjoy in a dedicated special spot. Whether that’s at home, during your visit to West Wales, by the coast or in the countryside, it’s well worth grabbing a physical copy, which is totally free. You can find one at the following venues, which are also showcased within the magazine:
You can also find copies at the following fabulous stockists:
Of course if you can’t find a copy (many of our stockists say they go out like “hot cakes”!) there is also the option to have a copy sent straight to your door, for the cost of postage & packaging.
However if you just want to enjoy the magazine online (although we think the best way to enjoy it with a hard copy & a cup of something lovely!) simply read it here:
What’s Wild Gorse Magazine all about & what makes it unique?
We promised a celebration of West Wales and Wild Gorse Magazine is exactly that…and more. Wild Adventures were on the table and we brought you the most incredible boat tour West Wales has to offer, courtesy of Falcon Boats. Not your average sightseeing tour, with Falcon boats you can explore the wild isles of Pembrokeshire and further afield, through the eyes and minds and expertise of true experts. Forget travelling thousands of miles to see a whale in its natural unspoilt environment, you can see one in West Wales! Want to see a pod of Dolphins or get up close to seals…you guessed it, you can experience this on the magical coast of West Wales.
Wellbeing…far more than a buzz word!
Wellbeing is now a word that most of us are familiar with but finding ways to look after it on your doorstep isn’t always easy. We wanted to highlight those who offer something truly unique and do it really well. Experiences that enrich lives and exhilarate the mind and body. From alternative therapies in a place of true zen set in the countryside to a sauna on the beach, an indulgent spa experience like no other to a cabin retreat on a working farm, where you can not only stay but also include a fitness and wellness programme. If you’re looking for something different in 2023, you’ll definitely find it in one or even all of these incredible experiences.
Transforming your living and working space
Finding inspiration is different for everyone, so for our inspirational living section, we wanted to offer a variety of ways to enhance your living and working spaces. An interior designer offering their own amazing furnishings is a great way to start. Art too can offer so much and comes in so many forms. From paintings to textiles, ceramics to glass, we’ve got some inspired living solutions for everyone.
An epic stay for all
A trip to West Wales has to involve an epic stay or two. Our selection ticks everyone’s box, from simple tranquillity getting cosy under canvas, with a coastal stroll by day and a gathering around a fire pit by night to a home from home spacious cottage where even the dog is welcome, or perhaps you’d like to immerse yourself in a spot of Welsh history within a perfect Welsh thatched cottage that has that perfect mix of traditional and modern interior finishes. Or maybe you love that mix of luxury and cosy in a unique perfectly designed ultra forward-thinking space. Animal lovers in search of that perfect life in the country might prefer staying on a working farm, whether it’s a gorgeous farmhouse or the ultimate cabin retreat, breath in that Welsh country air and have an epic stay like no other.
Eat your way through West Wales
Our foodie section delivers on impact and we’ve found some incredible innovators. Making a positive environmental impact, one crop at a time, all the while serving up incredible produce that gets snapped up by leading restaurants, you’ll love reading all about Green-up farm in Wild Gorse Magazine. Staying on the sustainable theme, we’ve also got Bedw From the Farm Gate, an amazing traditional sustainable family farm. Lovers of alfresco dining experiences will really love a visit to Vay-Y-Mor too. This awesome little food shack serves up all kinds of delights, suitable for meat eaters and veggies alike. Catch them at Glan-y-Mor campsite in St. Davids. And if that wasn’t enough to get your tummies rumbling, you might have seen our Coastal Foraging trip experience give away. Whist it’s too late to win an experience with Craig, it’s not too late to book one!
